Primary school teacher's perspective on inclusive education

This diploma thesis focuses on inclusive education and its close aspects, especially the perspective of elementary school teachers. The thesis itself is divided into several chapters. These explain the theoretical framework of inclusion in special pedagogy and associated topics, for example, a shift in a perception of a person with disabilities in individual periods, basic possible approaches to children's education, ie terms of exclusion, segregation, integration, and lastly, inclusion itself. They explain their definitions or principles. School legislation in the Czech Republic is also part of the thesis. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical part and practical part. The theoretical part focuses on the topics mentioned above and deals with the concepts related to education and special education in general, such as school as social institutions and individual social and professional roles in it, the concept of socialization or international trends in special pedagogy. The practical part contains qualitative research, ie structured interviews with specific pedagogical staff and outputs from these interviews. Motivation and Needs of Education of Participants in Courses of Further Education of Pedagogical Staff

The diploma thesis deals with the motivation and educational needs of teaching staff, specifically primary school teachers, within the framework of continuing professional education courses. The work also deals with the barriers to further education experienced by these workers. Further education of teaching staff enables teaching staff to deepen or expand their qualifications, which is essential for the further performance of their profession. Factors influencing the motivation for such education can be quite diverse and result from the individual educational needs and attitudes of specific individuals. Analysis and identification of these educational needs is important for planning and subsequent implementation of educational activities. The aim of this thesis was to find out what motivates primary school teachers to further professional education, what educational needs they feel and what barriers they perceive in further professional education. The thesis is focusing on details connected with the topic of school clubs, which we rank among school facilities for leisure education. It explains the meaning of basic concepts, describes the activities and function of the school club. It also analysis the documentation and activities of ten selected school clubs in three districts of the Pilsen Region. Final part of the thesis analysis the collected information. The aim of this work was to focus on the basic information related to school clubs and describe their importance. Further, on the basis of the obtained documentation, describe the operation and offer of selected school clubs.
Implementation of digital technologies in education

The aim of this thesis is to analyze strategic and other documents and data that are focused on distance learning in primary schools. The aim is also to describe how distance teaching took place in primary schools using digital technologies and to point out its specifics, including positives and negatives. Strategic and other documents are the basis for determining the readiness of teachers and schools for the transition to distance learning. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, schools were closed and it was necessary to move to distance learning, which was online. Schools and educators had to adapt and implement digital technologies in education in a short period of time. Talent management in secondary education in the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with the topic of talent management in relation to teaching staff in second- ary education in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to describe its current state and to find out how talented teachers are cared for in Czech secondary schools and how princi- pals perceive talented teachers and talent management. The thesis defines and puts into context the concepts of teaching staff, teacher stand- ard, talented teacher, talent and giftedness as well as talent management. A newly developed definition of a talented educator is also included. The specifics description of the Czech schools' environment for the talent management implementation in terms of individual pro- cesses is followed by a questionnaire survey. The research results are linked to the context of Czech education and compared with the results of previous investigations of talent man- agement in Czech organisations. The care of Czech teachers is very specific from the talent management perspective. The teaching profession is demanding and Czechia lacks a functional career system and a generally accepted teacher standard. Health literacy of teachers which is focused on their functioning in the area of nutritious education

The diploma thesis occupies with the health literacy of future and currently practicing teachers. It is focused on one part of the health literacy - nourishment. The aim of the thesis is to find out on which level of the health literacy in nourishment the teachers are and if they apply their knowledge not only in their professional life but also in their personal life. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is focused on the defining of the terms health, health literacy, the characteristic of the group of teachers and their division into subgroups. There are also described the aspects of health nourishment and the recommendation from the experts on the healthy lifestyle. The practical part includes the analysis of the data which were gained thanks to the questionnaires. In the end, the pieces of knowledge are summarized.
Professional prejudices as a limiting factor in the work of teaching staff and social care workers with disadvantaged clients

This study is going to focus on professional bias of pedagogical staff and social services workers in facilities with disadvantaged clients, particularly those with mental handicap. Such bias can limit work efforts of workers, and thus effect quality of life of disadvantaged clients. The research gathers and describes general knowledge of bias and its influence on men's life. The study mentions chosen professional bias of workers, documents it and compares degree of its influence on behaviour and approach to clients of both pedagogical staff and social services workers. The research attempts to search for connection between workers' biased behaviour and their education. Last of all, the study aims to search for suggestions and possible solutions of given situations that may be beneficial to quality of life of disadvantaged clients.
